Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is reproductive mental health?
Reproductive mental health focuses on the emotional and psychological well-being throughout the entire reproductive cycle —whether you're trying to conceive, pregnant, postpartum, or navigating experiences like infertility, miscarriage, or pregnancy loss. Reproductive mental health care helps you feel supported and understood, no matter where you are in your journey.
  • Can I still work with you if I'm dealing with issues outside of reproductive mental health?
Absolutely. While my specialty is in reproductive mental health, I work with clients who are navigating a wide range of emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and other challenges. Together, we can explore and address what matters to you most in a safe and supportive space.
  • Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help us get to know each other and see if we're a good fit. This is an opportunity for you to share a little about what's bringing you to therapy and to ask any questions you might have about my approach or the process. Starting therapy is a big step, and I want you to feel as comfortable and supported as possible. If you'd like to schedule a consultation, feel free to reach out. I'd be happy to connect with you.
  • What can I expect during therapy?
Therapy is your space to explore, process, and grow at your own pace. Each session is 50 minutes long and tailored to your unique needs and intentions. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to share openly and feel supported as we navigate your journey together.
  • Do you offer virtual therapy?
Yes, I exclusively offer virtual therapy sessions. This allows you to receive support from the comfort of your home or wherever you feel most at ease.
  • How will virtual sessions take place?
Our telehealth sessions will be held on Google Meet, a secure and HIPAA-compliant platform. This means your privacy and personal health information (PHI) are fully protected during our sessions. I'll send you a private link, which you can easily access from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Your comfort and privacy are my top priorities.
  • Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance companies directly. However, if your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement.
  • What are your rates?
My initial intake session is $225 and follow-up sessions are $200 for 50 minutes.
  • Do you provide a superbill?
Yes, I can provide you with a superbill, which is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement if you have out-of-network mental health benefits.
  • How do I find out if my insurance covers out-of-network therapy?
To determine your out-of-network coverage for therapy, you can contact your insurance provider and ask the following questions: Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits? What is my deductible and how much of it has been met? What percentage of therapy costs will be reimbursed for out-of-network providers? Is there a maximum allowed amount per session for reimbursement? What documentation do I need to submit for reimbursement (e.g., a superbill)? How did I submit claims and what is the timeline for reimbursement? Having these answers can help you understand your coverage and make the process of using your benefits smoother.
  • How can I communicate with you between sessions?
I provide a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform through my electronic health record (EHR) system for all communication related to therapy. This ensures that your private health information (PHI) is protected at all times. You will receive a login to access the platform, where you can securely message me. Additionally, you're welcome to text me for quick updates (e.g., if you're running late or need to reschedule). However, because texting is not HIPAA-compliant, you'll need to sign a consent form before we can communicate this way. Please avoid sharing any personal health information (PHI) in texts. You can also email me. I check my email regularly and will respond as soon as I can.
